This Privacy Policy explains how TheorIQ ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use our desktop application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
1. Information We Collect
Information We Do NOT Collect
TheorIQ is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address)
- Riot Games account credentials or authentication tokens
- Usage analytics or telemetry data
- IP addresses or device identifiers
- Match history or gameplay statistics from your account
Information Stored Locally
TheorIQ stores the following data locally on your computer only:
- Application preferences - Your settings and UI preferences
- Cached game data - Item databases and champion information from Riot's Data Dragon
- Recommendation history - Recent build recommendations for your reference
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any external servers.
2. How We Use Information
League Client Integration
When you use features that integrate with the League of Legends client, TheorIQ:
- Reads your current champion selection and enemy team composition from the local League Client API
- Reads live game state (items, gold, objectives) during active matches
- Writes item sets and rune pages to your League Client when you click "Import"
This communication happens entirely locally between TheorIQ and your League Client. No data is sent to external servers.
Riot Games API
TheorIQ's recommendation engine uses aggregated match statistics. This data is:
- Collected separately through the official Riot Games API
- Aggregated and anonymized before being included in the App
- Bundled with the application - not fetched based on your activity
3. Third-Party Services
Riot Games Data Dragon
TheorIQ fetches game assets (item icons, champion images) from Riot Games' Data Dragon CDN. These requests:
- Are made directly to Riot Games' servers
- Do not include any personal information
- Are subject to Riot Games' Privacy Notice
Download Hosting
Application downloads are hosted on Google Cloud Storage. Download requests may be logged by Google according to their Privacy Policy.
4. Data Security
Since TheorIQ operates primarily locally:
- Your data is protected by your operating system's security
- No data is transmitted over the internet during normal operation
- League Client communication uses secure local protocols
5. Children's Privacy
TheorIQ is intended for users who are of legal age to play League of Legends in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.
6. Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
- Access - All stored data is in your local application folder
- Deletion - Uninstalling the App removes all associated data
- Portability - Your settings are stored in standard formats you can back up

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
